I’m a dedicated physical therapy student with a passion for fitness, health and wellness, good food, and dancing.
After I graduate physical therapy school, I have a few areas of interest. I have always been fascinated by prosthetic and orthotic devices and the intricacies of improving an individual’s walking pattern. Another one of my passions is dancing. I do several different types of dancing such as: Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Charleston, Blues, Balboa, Salsa, and Pole Fitness. I’m also interested in circus arts such as lyra, silks, pole tricks, and acro yoga. Ideally, I would work with dancers to help prevent injury, and if injuries occur, treat them properly to get them back on the dance floor or back up in the air.
My other work passions include: aquatic therapy, disability services, disability advocacy, sports conditioning, and global health care.
In my spare time, I love to work on improving my dancing skills and staying active through hiking, biking, and exploring nature. I’m also an avid reader. Cooking and experimenting with recipes is another way that I express my creativity. I enjoy making healthy, delicious vegetarian and vegan meals. I’m also a self-declared geek and a die-hard Batman fan.
Much of what I have learned about physical therapy and online health/wellness, I have learned from Greg Todd, the founder of Physical Therapy Builder. He is a fantastic physical therapist whose mission is to help physical therapists provide patient focused care without becoming overwhelmed. Greg Todd is also known as a “social media guru,” and I have a lot of thank him for. I highly suggest his courses, especially Smart Success PT. In May, I plan to attend Smart Success PT Live, a business, marketing, and branding course by some of the top PT entrepreneurs in the field.
What I want this website to be is a reliable source of health information, with a focus on fitness, wellness, and physical therapy. I’m a big fan of finding the right exercise type to fit into your lifestyle, and I’m open to unique fitness opportunities like pole fitness and Lindy Hop. Through this page, I want to answer questions that people may have about health and healing in a way that makes sense. I want to help YOU reach your potential and move forward to a healthier lifestyle. And, we all know that laughter is one of the best medicines.
